Description of Document:
NTCIP 8007 defines the rules and guidelines to be used by the other NTCIP working groups when they produce NTCIP test documentation. This document is not intended for use directly by manufacturers or public agencies that may procure NTCIP equipment; rather, it is intended to promote a consistent look and feel of NTCIP testing documentation throughout the various NTCIP standards.

SCOPE AND BACKGROUND -- NTCIP 8007 is a Process, Control, and Information Management series document. NTCIP 8007 defines the content requirements to be used by the other NTCIP working groups when they produce NTCIP test documentation. NTCIP 8007 is intended to promote a consistent look and feel of NTCIP testing documentation throughout the various NTCIP standards.

VERSION v01 -- In August 2003, the Joint Committee accepted NTCIP 8007 v01.09 as a User Comment Draft. In October 2003, AASHTO, ITE, and NEMA distributed 8007 for user comment. In May 2004, the Joint Committee accepted NTCIP 8007 v01.19 for a second round of user comments. In August 2004, Standards Bulletin B0099 issued 8007 v01.19b for review and comment. In July 2005, the Joint Committee accepted 8007 v01.20 as a Recommended Standard. Bulletin B0108 sent v01.20a to AASHTO, ITE, and NEMA for ballot and approval.

Approvals -- NTCIP 8007 v01 was approved by AASHTO in April 2006; approved by ITE in October 2005; and approved by NEMA in October 2005. In 2006, NTCIP 8007 v01 was Jointly Approved.

In May 2008 -- The published version of NTCIP 8007 v01.21 was available as a PDF download.
