Document Status: Date submitted: 9/26/2003
The Information Management Policy document defines the procedures used by both the NTCIP Coordinator and the NTCIP Working Groups. These policies and procedures implement the administrative and project management terms and conditions from SDO agreements and from other NTCIP information management policies. The agreements include the U.S. DOT Cooperative Agreements with the standards developing organizations, the 1996 joint MOU between AASHTO, ITE, and NEMA that established the Joint Committee, and the AASHTO-NEMA agreement. The referenced policies include the NTCIP 8001 Joint Standardization Policies and Procedures. NTCIP 8006 defines the steps required to: organize an NTCIP WG, prepare a WG work plan and budget request, organize meetings, procure technical consultants, implement the standards development process, and use the available electronic communication and financial reporting tools. In 2000 -- the NTCIP Coordinator began a Working Draft, which included the Annex A on PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES FOR NTCIP WORKING GROUP TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES. Draft copies of portions of 8006 are in the Standards Forum, 8006. Several annexes have been drafted: FORECAST: 8006 version 01 is expected to be available for user comment in 2003. ###
