This page reports on three former NTCIP standards.

NTCIP 2500 - NTCIP InP-C2C, a Center Information Profile

This standard was to define the rules for how data was to be defined within an ITS center. In May 2005, the Center to Center Working Group decided to stop work on this proposed standard.

NTCIP 2501 - NTCIP InP-DATEX, a Center Information Profile

This standard was to define what services were required within DATEX centers, namely a mechanism to determine what messages and data the center supports. In June 2002, the work on defining administrative messages (IP-DATEX) was delayed to enable available resources to focus on the CORBA base object models for ATMS. In May 2005, the NTCIP Center to Center Working Group agreed to withdraw this proposed 2501 standard because of the lack of available software development environment tools for DATEX.

NTCIP 2502 - NTCIP InP-CORBA, a Center Information Profile

This standard was to define which CORBA services were required in ITS systems. In August 2001, the C2C WG reported that development of NTCIP 2502 had been stopped, pending the results of the NTCIP 1601 model development. NTCIP 2502 may be replaced by the Global Objects Model. In May 2005, the C2C WG agreed to withdraw this proposed standard. There were only three known deployments using CORBA, and no known plans for future use. The Library page had made available "n2msp2a1.pdf," a document which identified protocols supporting the use of the Common Object Request Broker Architecture, CORBA, as a mechanism of information interchange among traffic management and information centers.

In April 2010, the above notes were combined on the 2500 page, and the pages for 2501 and 2502 were deleted.
